Deacon JoVen Millner was born in Martinsville, VA to John A. and Beverly Millner, and has a brother, Daniel Millner. He received his education in the public schools of Henry County, Virginia and furthered his education at ECPI, Roanoke, Virginia earning an associate’s degree in computer science. He was president of the National Honors Society while at ECPI and graduated cum laude with a 3.8 GPA. JoVen is employed as a Quality/IT Manager at Applied Felts in Martinsville, Virginia.

Deacon Millner grew up in the Way of the Cross and has dedicated himself to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ in his local assembly and nationally. He is a lifelong member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church of Christ, baptized on December 15, 1985 at the age of six under the leadership of the Founder, the late Bishop H. C. Eggleston. He received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of ten under the leadership of Bishop Earley Dillard. Along with his love in serving Jesus Christ and the church is his love and dedication to ministering in music—understanding the importance of music as well as the relationship between music and worship that conditions the heart to receive the Word of the Lord.

Deacon Millner has served as an officer with the Shiloh WOTC Youth for Christ Department since 2015. He works faithfully with the youth during outings, services, on the streets passing out church flyers campaigning for souls and encouraging the youth through testimonials.

He is married to Tosheena Moore Millner. They reside in Martinsville, Virginia and are blessed with three children, Alivia, Jonaven and Jon David who are all active in the Shiloh WOTC Church as well as the Way of the Cross Church of Christ, International.

With the help of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, JoVen, aka “Bass Man”, aspires to be an asset to the Way of the Cross Church of Christ, International, praying God will continue to bless the organization and the Youth for Christ to greatness in Jesus name!
